What you can do with OtterLife
- Understand your health trends: view supported sleep, activity, heart rate, and heart rate variability (HRV) data in dashboards and reports.
- Keep everyday records: log food, water intake, exercise, weight, and mood to understand your habits over time.
- Build healthy habits: set goals, record progress, and grow your otter companion as you complete activities.
- Connect supported health sources: with your permission, use data from Apple Health, Google Health Connect, or other supported health sources. Availability depends on your device, platform, and the permissions you grant.
- Use optional AI features: get health-related insights and recommendations, or recognize food from a photo you choose to submit. AI features serve these health and fitness purposes; their data processing is described in our Privacy Policy.
Why OtterLife offers Google sign-in
Google sign-in is an option for creating or signing in to your OtterLife account. Google and Firebase Authentication process your Google account identifier, email address, and available basic profile information, such as your name and profile photo, to verify your identity. OtterLife uses the resulting authentication proof to sign you in and associate your Google identity with your OtterLife account. The App requests theprofile and email scopes for this login flow. Google sign-in does not request access to your Gmail messages, Google Drive files, Calendar events, contacts, or health data. Health-source permissions are requested separately. Choosing Google sign-in does not by itself authorize sending health data for AI processing.
Our Privacy Policy explains the data accessed, its use, storage, sharing, protection, retention, and deletion, including the roles of Google and Firebase Authentication.
