# OtterLife Account and Data Deletion

**App: OtterLife**\
Operated by Shanghai Ruoyou Network Technology Co., Ltd.\
Last updated: October 27, 2026

You can request deletion of your OtterLife account and associated personal information through either method below. You do not need to install or reinstall the app to send an email request.

## Request deletion by email

Email [otterlife@iftech.io](mailto:otterlife@iftech.io) with the subject **OtterLife Account Deletion Request**. Tell us that you want to delete your OtterLife account and associated personal information, and provide your OtterLife account identifier so we can locate the account and verify ownership.

Do not send passwords, verification codes, login tokens, or copies of your health records. We may ask for additional information necessary to verify account ownership. We will explain the verification steps, expected processing time, and any applicable retention requirements when handling your request.

## Request deletion in the app

Open **Settings → About You**, open the top-right more menu, choose **Remove Account**, and confirm your account cancellation request.

The in-app request starts a **7-calendar-day cooling-off period**. If you try to log in during this period, the app asks whether you want to withdraw the request. Your request is withdrawn only when you confirm.

The cooling-off period is not a guarantee that all account information, sign-in records, logs, and backup copies are erased within 7 days. Account cancellation and subsequent data deletion are separate processing steps. Contact [otterlife@iftech.io](mailto:otterlife@iftech.io) to ask about the status and completion of your request.

## What data the request covers

Your request covers your OtterLife account and the personal information associated with it, including your profile, account identifiers and information linked to Google sign-in, and information you created in OtterLife that is stored in encrypted form for cloud synchronization and backup. We process deletion requests subject to the limited retention requirements described below.

Original health records from Apple Health, Health Connect, or other connected health apps and services remain in their respective sources. OtterLife reads the records you authorize it to access; these original records are not uploaded to our servers for cloud synchronization or backup. Deleting your OtterLife account does not delete the original records in those services. Manage those records and revoke access in the corresponding app or device permission settings. Optional AI data processing is described separately in the OtterLife Privacy Policy.

## Data retention and deletion

Information you create in OtterLife is retained for the period needed to provide the cloud synchronization and backup services you use, subject to your deletion requests and applicable legal requirements. Account deletion includes associated personal information; account cancellation alone does not mean every related record has already been erased.

Where applicable law requires continued retention of particular records, those records are protected and are no longer used in daily business activities. They are retained only for the legally required period. Logs and backup copies are included in the handling of your deletion request, but are not covered by a promise of complete erasure during the 7-day cooling-off period. For the retention requirements and expected deletion timing applicable to your account, contact [otterlife@iftech.io](mailto:otterlife@iftech.io).

## Subscriptions and uninstalling

Account deletion does not automatically cancel an auto-renewing subscription. Cancel your subscription separately through Google Play or the App Store to prevent further charges.

Signing out, uninstalling OtterLife, or removing the app’s local storage does not submit an account cancellation or data deletion request. Use one of the request methods above.
